What is RepRap?

RepRap 3D Printer (Replicating Rapid Prototyper) is the first self-replicating manufacturing machine. Simply put, it is a machine which can make a similar machine like itself. Hence, this 3D printer can print out most of the parts needed to make another 3D printer! That’s to say, if you have a RepRap, you can built another RepRap for your friend and the cycle goes on. What is reprap.org ?
RepRap Project was an initiative to make low-cost desktop 3D printers. It started as an open-source 3D revolution. This website is a universal platform for all RepRappers around the world. The portal has various designs of RepRaps with building instructions and anybody interested in making one can help themselves. Build your own RepRap

 

What is RepRap Pakistan?
RepRap Pakistan
RepRap Pakistan is the Pakistan based off-shoot of RepRap Project. It is an online community for RepRappers, students and individuals alike, interested in 3D printing and RepRap making in Pakistan.

I, Pir Arkam, had the privilege of taking the first initiative to make the first 3D printer project in Pakistan. I was inspired by my fellow students who were working on this project during my exchange scholarship semester at University of Huntsville, Alabama, USA. I then decided to take on this beautiful growing technology and introduce in Pakistan. It was my final year project of Bachelors of Engineering at MUET, Jamshoro. Following is the video of making of the Pakistan’s First RepRap from the very first day.
