Easier Approach to Electronic Projects

LED Dimmer

The circuit which i found initially had 50k potentiometer, but the one i have used is 10k and it worked fine with that. The code for the 100nF capacitor is “104” so any capacitor which has this code is to be used in this circuit. You must use a Bright LED for this, buy the one of a very good quality.

Parts List:

  1. 1k & 390ohm
  2. 50k potentiometer
  3. 100nf x (2)
  4. 1N4148 x (2)
  5. Bright LED
  6. 555 Timer
  7. 9v Battery

NOTE: In the Circuit Diagram. There are two pin no 3s in 555 Timer IC. The pin no 3 which is connected to ground is actually pin no 1.
